    The main duties of this role are:


    • Work to Good Manufacturing Standards at all times
    • Ensure work area is clean and tidy and work to good hygiene practices for food production
    • Attend briefings and training sessions as requested by the company.
    • Ensure all product meets the required quality and legality set out by the company
    • Carry out instructions as directed by the Production Controller
    • Raise any issues observed with the Team Leader
    • At all times be aware and observant of Health and Safety Regulations
    • Working in a fast paced goods in department.
    • Loading and unloading of vehicles safely using a fork lift truck.
    • Issuing and returning stock to and from production department on time not to cause any delays to production.
    • Rotating stock to make sure stock is not used out of rotation.
    • Making sure stock is stored in correct locations and conditions.
    • Doing regular stock counts to ensure stock levels are correct at all times.
    • Working alone and in a team to ensure daily work load is shared out fairly amongst all the team.
    • Moving stock around factory using pallet truck and powered pallet truck.
    • Unloading of equipment from vehicles.
    • Loading finished product on to vehicles.
    • Order picking of finished product in a chilled area ready for despatching.
    • The moving of finished product from the end of production lines and putting in to chilled storage, ensuring product temperature is kept within product specification.
    • Scanning finished product in and out of despatch chill using hand scan guns and portal.
    • Generating despatch notes for completed out loads.
    • Inspecting vehicles to make sure they are in an acceptable condition to out load finished product on.
    • Counting and recording of any carry over stock.
    • Counting of equipment to ensure there is all ways enough on site at all times.
    • Transferring of equipment from pallets to dollies.
    • Using a pallet truck to load finished product on to vehicles.


    Skills, Qualifications and Experience:


    • Previous food production experience (preferable)
    • Good level of literacy and numeracy (essential)
    • Good attention to detail
    • Excellent record keeping skills
    • Ability to work with others
    • Ability to work in an environment with variable temperatures
