    Genesis Outsourcing are recruiting for a number of Packing Line Technicians for their reputable client in Redditch on a permanent basis.

    Responsibilities

    Purpose:

    • Support the Team Leader in the shared goal of achieving quality, safe product to the agreed production targets,
    • To maximize line performance and minimize downtime,
    • To guarantee traceability of products packed,
    • To cover for the Team Leader when requested during the day.

     

    Health and Safety:

     

    Everybody is responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others. You must:

    • Ensure their work environment is kept safe, clean and tidy,
    • Ensure equipment is correctly used and returned in good condition,
    • Raise any health and safety concerns to the Team Leader.

     

    Packing Area Management:

    • Ensure the product passed to the despatch area is properly labelled (film, base label, promo sticker),
    • Ensure that all production paperwork is filled correctly and in time dictated by procedures,
    • Ensure that all pre-production and post production line checks are being done and properly sign off
    • Ensure that all dates and promo labels are correct and checked against Date and Promo calendars.
    • Ensure that lines are set up and ready to run at the shift start-up (i.e barcodes, sleeves, SRP’s, Trays)
    • Ensure that all off-line paperwork is filled in correctly,
    • Ensure that all QAS and verification paperwork are up to date at all times

     

    Quality:

    • Complete the Production line and labelling room start-up check sheet ,
    • Use the Date and Promo Calendar to check the correct details are being used,
    • Complete on line paperwork and make sure that production operatives are doing the same when required
    • Complete Freezer sheets
    • Check that sleeves being printed have the correct date on them.
    • Complete off line paperwork when needed and make sure that correct packaging and labels are used

    Qualifications

    Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

     

    • Previous food production experience (essential)
    • Previous experience within a food quality role (essential)
    • Good level of literacy and numeracy (essential)
    • Good attention to detail
    • Excellent record keeping skills
    • Ability to work with others
    • Ability to work in an environment with variable temperatures
